  1. Important Note:  The stuff in this directory has *not* yet been made to work 
  2. with the new (Version 2.*) version of XV.  This is a set of files donated by 
  3. Richard L. Dyson (dyson@iowasp.physics.uiowa.edu), who got the previous 
  4. version of XV to work under VMS.
  5.  
  6. These files are merely being passed along to give anyone trying to compile the
  7. new XV under VMS a 'jumping off' point.  When someone ports the new XV to VMS,
  8. I'll just incorporate those changes to my distribution, and this directory will
  9. go away.
